Back to back family reunion 2010!!

I dint expect this year’s holidays to be so much fun ‘cuz we had our semi family reunion on both sides (Mom and Dad). Things just happened very fast and fortunately things turned out well and the result was a BLAST!! πŸ˜€

December 25, 2010 (Mom’s side)

On Christmas day, we had our ESCAPADE meaning “takas/tago sa mga inaanak”. LOL! We ended up going to my Uncle’s house in Cavite. Actually it was already planned and since everyone’s available day is only on Christmas day, we had no choice but to gave up something on our part and that was our “papasko to the inaanaks”. We left the house early in the morning and we dropped by to the church to pray and greet Papa Jesus a happy birthday. Then we fetch my other Uncle in San Juan along with his family to come with us in Cavite. We arrived in Cavite as early as 8:30 am and yes we were all sleepy heads ‘cuz all of us woke up very early. While waiting for the food to be served, I played with my cousins. It rained that time so we had no choice but to stay in the house so what we just did was to play in the treadmill. My cousins ages are 6 and 2? (not sure though. :P) but they managed to walk/run in the treadmill. Hahaha! Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to bring my camera and my phone was at it’s battery limit so I just watched ’em. How cute tiny little creatures!!! πŸ˜€

We ate at around 9 am and there were Pork and Chicken barbecue, Pancit and Sinigang na Isda (I can’t remember the name of that “ISDA”. LMAO!:P) served. For the dessert was the creamy, sweet, yummy LECHE FLAN which is my all-time favorite!! I tried to limit my “little” cravings but I can’t do nothing so I almost ate the one whole serving of leche flan. πŸ˜€

As much as we wanted to stay there to have some chit chats, my Lolo asked us to go home already. We left at around 12 in the afternoon and my uncle gave me my “pamasko”. πŸ˜€

We got home at 5. It was Christmas day that day so traffic was everywhere at that time.

December 26, 2010 (Dad’s side)

This just happened yesterday so everything is still fresh on my mind. πŸ˜€

I woke up very early to help my mom in preparing the food. I peeled off potatoes for the adobo, sliced tons of garlic and onions and lots of things. My dad left the house to pick my Titos and Titas in Sta. Ana, Manila and they arrived home at exactly lunch time. Good thing, we were already done preparing the food so we served it on-time. πŸ™‚

After lunch, it was time for cousins bonding moment while the adults were drinking alcohols/wines. We watched The Last Airbender and Saw 3D. The last freaked us all out ‘cuz there were scenes that was not a normal thing to do!! Whew! But I guess we all had fun. After that, we did cam-whoring and took vain shots. hahaha! Now I know what our common denominator is!! πŸ˜€

Before dinner time, I asked them to had a family picture first. So here it is.

The flash of the camera bounced back in the pic ‘cuz I placed it on top near a figurine. But still I love it! My grannies on my mom’s side, are the center of attraction since my grannies on dad’s side are both in heaven (RIP, Lolo Giming and Lola Caridad). Idk, if my Lolo was busy watching the TV or maybe he wanted a candid shot?! LMAO!! πŸ˜€

They spent overnight in our house (which was unplanned ;)) and leave the house 4am this day. πŸ˜€

Both of my Titos and Titas gave me my “pamasko” so I felt like a kid again for a moment. I’m gonna save it for my shopping spree on the coming year.

I love my one whole big family!!!! I hope many bondings to come so we can get closer as time goes by!! πŸ˜€

Go get them, bite them, beat them!!

Last December 13-15 we had our retreat in the beautiful place of Caleruega. I dint expect that retreat to be so memorable and fun. Though it was very tiring, I really had a great time ‘cuz I get to know my classmates very well and bonded with them even for such a short time. We enjoy the breath-taking sceneries of the place and little we did enjoy the food, I guess, ‘cuz it was limited. *sigh* The sessions were very draining on our part ‘cuz we cried a lot most of the time but it was good ‘cuz we said what we wanna say to each other whether they were good or bad.

I won’t forget this experience ever!!! I’m definitely Proud to be 4E5

Caleruega is the place to be if you want to meditate and to find peace in yourself! For three 3 days and 2 nights, my mind was enlightened and as if I have no problems in mind. Definitely this won’t be the last time I’ll visit Caleruega!! πŸ˜€

Paskuhan 2010

Happened last December 17, 2010 on UST Grandstand. This paskuhan celebration marked the start of next year’s UST celebration of her 400th year. Bands like Up Dharma Down, Franco, Kamikazee and Pupil performed and we got all excited!! This year’s paskuhan was also our last ‘cuz me and my friends we’ll be all graduating on March (Hopefully!). As much as we wanted to celebrate this year’s event memorably we dint make it. *sigh* Lots of things happened and it’s just sad ‘cuz the barkada were not complete during the fireworks presentation. That’s why I keep on saying that I prefer last year’s paskuhan than this year. We had fun I guess even though things happened. Hopefully next year (we’re all alumni), we’ll be all complete ‘cuz it’s really different if the barkada are complete.

Grabbed some photos c/o Pau’s and post it here. πŸ™‚

Paskuhan fireworks never fail to amaze me and the event itself! Since I stepped in to UST it’s my most awaited event at the end of the year. Next Paskuhan, we’ll going to attend it as professionals already and not students anymore. πŸ™‚ Weeee!! So excited!!! πŸ˜€

My mom received a Brownies Unlimited cupcake from her boss and since she don’t have “sweet tooth” she just gave it to me. Who am I to resist right? I’m just a person who has a fascination over pastries, chocolates and lots of sweets. LOL!

But before the yummy cupcake enters into my tummy, I took some photos first as a remembrance. πŸ˜›

It looks like a big cake in the pictures right?? I’m thinking of buying a dozen of it for my birthday. A gift for myself! LMAO!

I’ll be famous one day! Wait and see!

Last Wednesday (November 24, 2010) I posted a new look on Lookbook. It’s been weeks since I posted my last look and I’m really itching to post a new one but my schedule won’t let me.

Fortunately, Wednesday morning before going to school, I found a time and squeezed in a lil photo shoot. Usually, it took me an hour and a half to prepare and to produce pictures that I can say Lookbook worthy. But on that morning it only took me 15-20 minutes to produce another one. πŸ™‚

Did some minor editing first then upload it on Lookbook immediately ‘cuz I’ll be late for school at that time. When I arrived home (at around 9pm), I checked my e-mail after eating my dinner and got shocked ‘cuz 4 people fanned me in Lookbook. Opened my account asap and checked the status of my look. Only to find out it was posted on Lookbook’s hot page and I was like “WOOWWW!”. My first time ever to be posted on the hot page.

Since it’s my first time, took a snap shots of it for remembrance ‘cuz I don’t know if my next look will be posted again on the hot page. hehe! πŸ™‚

OMG! I was very much overwhelmed ‘cuz I consider this as an achievement. Too much happiness, I accidentally blurted to my mom about my Lookbook account. hahaha! She saw it and she liked it!! I even asked for DSLR as a Christmas gift but she changed the topic. (Thanks mom!) πŸ˜€

I also checked my status on Philippines’ lookbook-ers on my 1st day and my look debut on the 7th to the last on guys category with the most hyped look. Again, I was very much flattered by this news! πŸ™‚

On the 2nd day, I checked again my look’s status in the Philippines and I got surprised ‘cuz I was placed on the 10th spot, for both guys and girls category and 3rd spot for the guys category with the most hyped look. Joining the famous Tricia Gosingtian, Paul Jatayna, Andre Judd and many more fashionable people. I almost freaked out when I knew this!! πŸ™‚

On the third day, my ranking went up. From 10th to 8th in guys and girls category and 2nd from the guys category with the most hyped look. OMG!! I died!! LMAO! πŸ˜€

Now, I checked my look and since many looks were uploaded my ranking dropped on the 15th spot. I dint feel bad at all ‘cuz I already had and experienced the “spotlight” everyone aspires of. πŸ™‚

Because of this, I’m inspired to post more looks on my Lookbook account hoping that I’ll be featured on the site’s hot page again. hehe! πŸ˜‰

Lego world!

Strolling the mall for almost half the day, it’s impossible for me not to see this wonders! The Lego World!!

1. The modern age

2. The construction site

3. The railway

4. The busy community

5. For the finale, the lego wheels!

They’re such a beauty right??! I feel like a kid when I see all of these.

Hmm. thinking of buying lego and make my own world too! That would be definitely fun!!! πŸ˜€

What did I buy??

Every 15th and the end of the month, many malls are having sales. As a shopping enthusiast, I can’t take it and my “shopaholic nerves” if I’m not going to attend to this sale ‘cuz I know I’ll definitely gonna have great buys. My budget for this sale is Php 3,000. The money that I save after so many weeks of eating crackers almost everyday and controlling myself not to go anywhere which I know, will cost me a lot. hahaha!

This sale, I was planning to buy a coat from Forever 21 (the one in my previous post) and acid-washed pants from Oxygen. I went first on the latter, ‘cuz it’s the nearest from the mall’s entrance, but no acid-washed pants available. The sales lady told me, it was already out-of-stock. I got disappointed when I found out. 😦 Checked their other pants but nothing amazed me. So I went next to Forever 21, hoping that the coat is still available. After 15 minutes of searching, no coat was found. I asked the store assistant and only to find out that the coat was out-of-stock (AGAIN!!!!). In short say, my plans were totally ruin. 😦

What I just did instead, was to look for other clothes that can substitute my original plan. I sticked in Forever 21 to look for other buys.

Then here’s what I’ve got!

1st buy: Knitted top long sleeves from 21 men

After searching the store for almost half an hour, I found this. It’s Php 915. Great stuff isn’t it?! πŸ™‚ Actually, I was comparing the cardigan worth Php 965 and this. But when I tried the cardigan it’s too baggy on me and I don’t wanna wear baggy clothes on our Christmas party. Also, this top is much cheaper than the cardigan so I bought it immediately. πŸ™‚

I already have a top but no pants yet. So I store-hopped and look for the acid-washed pants that I want.

I went first to Folded and Hung, then Penshoppe, Bench, Human, People are People and 101 New York but these stores don’t have the pants that I’m looking for. I really got frustrated and tired ‘cuz idk what will I do next. I also even checked the department store but I dint find any. 😦

What I did, headed back to Forever 21 and look for another buy. Then, I got this!!

2nd buy: Plaid long sleeves from 21 men (Php 1065)

I think twice in buying this plaid ‘cuz I want acid-washed pants more. And since I dint find any, I decided to buy this. πŸ™‚ (Idk when I’m going to wear this. My birthday? New year?? It depends. hahaha! :D)

3rd buy: Flip flops from Bench (Php 139)

Thought of buying flip flops for our upcoming retreat this December ‘cuz all my flip flops are already worn out and in a bad condition so it’s time to buy a new pair. πŸ™‚

4th buy: Statement tee from American Boulevard (Php 149)

This tee caught my attention ‘cuz of it’s cheap price. Dint think twice and immediately bought it. πŸ™‚

After the clothes, went to the bookstore and bought some school supplies. Spent almost Php 250 for highlighter, plastic envelope, clips, and post-its.

CALCULATION: I spent Php 2500+ and I still have roughly Php 500 left. I’ll save this money till the next sale! πŸ™‚

Very tiring but fun!

Shopping is not really a stressful thing to do for me. It in fact relaxes me more when I shop.

Till the next sale peeps! πŸ˜‰

Midnight snack of the week!

One of my fave Korean drama (Perfect Match) is now showing in one of the local channels here and I can’t take if I missed one episodes of it. I’m actually done watching it via the DVD I borrowed from a friend but the Filipino dubbing is different from reading the subtitles on the screen. As the title goes, “Perfect match” watching it is not perfect match without the yummy snacks beside you. LOL! πŸ˜€

Low-fat milk in the middle of the night.

I’m not really a milk-drinker but since the doctor recommended me that I need to drink at least 1 glass a day I have no choice. Btw, low-fat milk doesn’t have a bad taste at all. For me it’s better than the regular milk. πŸ™‚

Pastel buns from Camiguin

The filling!

Whenever relatives are heading out to Camiguin or somewhere in Visayas, we’re always requesting for Pastel. It’s a bun filled with yema and when you taste it you’ll literally forget everything! Weird but proven and tested. πŸ˜€

Perfect match!

I ate the pastel with butter on the top ‘cuz for me it taste better with it. hehe!

Nice show + yummy midnight foods= sleeping for more than 8 hours. What more can you ask for right?! LMAO! πŸ˜€

Egg pie for bouncy Sunday!

The most awaited day of the week, Sunday!! This is the only day I can do anything I want ‘cuz it’s my only free day! πŸ˜€

When I woke up (lunch time! ;)) I saw a box of egg pie on the dining table and it really surprised me ‘cuz I thought there’s an occasion that I forgot. Done with the drama, I immediately opened the box and damn it really looks yummy!

Ate my lunch a little faster than the usual so that I could already taste the delicious dessert of the day. But before indulging into it, got my phone and took a snap shot of it. hehe! πŸ™‚

Holy S! Doesn’t it look yummy?? Yumyum!! πŸ˜€

A taste of heaven! πŸ˜‰

The egg pie is not that sweet. Love its creamy taste and the crust that are truly to die for! Ate 3 slices consecutively and that’s why I love being at home. LOL! I feel like a PIG now but it’s understandable ‘cuz December’s fast approaching and expect more sweets/pastries to come! πŸ˜€

Chef JP Dela Cruz!

If you’re bored and tired eating the same food over and over again, try to be a chef for a day and you’ll definitely have fun!!! πŸ™‚

One afternoon, I got hungry and when I opened the fridge I saw the same foods I eat almost everyday. So what I did, I think of a snack that’s easy to make/cook and the ingredients are available and can be seen around the kitchen.

And here’s my masterpiece!!!! Cheesy tuna pizza pandesal!

Pan De Sal
Canned tuna
Pizza sauce or catsup may do
Grated cheese

How to cook:
1. Slice the bread into half then toast it for 2 minutes to make it not so fluffy.
2. Spread the pizza sauce on the bread and top it with tuna and cheese.
3. Toast it for 3 minutes or until the cheese melts.

4. Put it on top of the washing machine to have a good lighting. ROFL! πŸ˜€

Very easy to cook, isn’t it? hehe! Learned this recipe on my elementary days on our Home economics class and I’m very much happy to apply it until now. πŸ™‚

Sometimes, I feel like shifting courses from Economics to Culinary but it’s too late ‘cuz I’m already graduating. Maybe in the future I can take short culinary courses to pursue my little dream of becoming a Chef. hehe!
